You can tailor a new project to your own needs by creating a new project, making any changes to the project, and saving the file with an extension of PBT in the My Documents\My ProductBasedPlans\Templates folder.
When you use File >> New, you will see the new template listed. Select the desired template and save the file as a new project.

- To ensure that the default Paper size is used when making documents, select an installed printer.
- Right click on the selected printer and select properties.
- Select 'Printing Preferences..." and then select 'Advanced'.
- On the advanced tab, set the paper size default.
The values in 'Printing Preferences' become the default settings for a printer. Each printer can be set individually.
The Zoom Percent on the Report View Details pane controls how the diagrams (PBS, PFD, or Org Chart) will be output to the report. Use the following settings:
Fit Height: Fits the diagram to a single page scaling to the height
Fit Width: Fits the diagram on a single page scaling to the width
Percentage: Enter the zoom percentage to set a fixed scaling that will be spread over the number of pages necessary to show the entire diagram. Large numbers will print on multiple pages. Just enter the desired number in whole percent e.g. 50 = 50%, 150 = 150%. This number will be saved.
These settings are also influenced by the page orientation and Page Size. For example, if the page orientation is Portrait and the diagram is very wide, the diagram will scale to the width to keep the diagram on one page. To get the maximum use of the paper, change the page orientation to Landscape where the full page will be used.
