Common Bookmark Operations

Bookmark operations are the second part of the definition of a bookmark.

DataType_Operation

The following bookmark operations apply to most of the bookmark DataTypes:

_LIST

Includes a list of all data items in picture or an Excel spreadsheet.

Includes a copy of the table associated with the data.  For example, PROD_LIST or ISSUE_LIST.

_TABLE Includes a word table of all of the visible items in a table. For example, PROD_TABLE or ISSUE_TABLE
_TABLEALL Includes a word table of all of the items in a table - visible or not. For example PROD_TABLEALL
_DETAILS

Includes a set of bookmarks about the details of this item

A default set of bookmarks are available for each detail set along with an optional template.  If the template contains bookmarks, these will be used instead of the default template bookmarks.

For example, the Report Bookmarks for the Product Description Report are:

PROD_PBS|FMT_PAGE|FMT_PORTRAIT|PROD_PFD|PROD_DETAILS

PROD_DETAILS uses the bookmarks on the Product Descriptions row in the templates area:

Product Desctiptions (DETAILS) = PROD_PD|PROD_ESTIMATE

The details bookmarks are located in the Template table VIEW >> Templates.

_CONTENT

Includes content based upon the type of data.

This can only be used within a Details Bookmark String shown in the Templates data (View >> Show Templates)

For example, ACT_CONTENT includes all of the activities in a range by their type.

With the _TABLE operation, additional parameters can be provided:

_PLAN Reduces the columns to an appropriate set in a PLAN. For example, ACT_TABLE_PLAN
_COLX4X6X7X Excludes the column with the column numbers provided. The character X separates column numbers. This enables specific columns to be excluded from the report. For example, the equivalent bookmark for ACT_TABLE_PLAN would be: ACT_TABLE_COLX3X4X5X7X8X10X11X12X13X14X15X

With the _Details operation, additional parameters can be provided

_NoPage Do not insert a page break before the details information. Used generally after changing the orientation of a page.
_OFF Turn off all header levels for information in the details section (This keeps individual items out of the table of contents).
_ON Turn on all header levels for information in the details section
_nnn Start numbering the individual detail items at the specified header level (for example _003 to start at Heading 3)
